Rolex Stainless Steel "Grasshopper" Ref. 4560

This beautifully preserved 1940s vintage Rolex Precision Reference 4560 is an extraordinary dress watch that showcases an era of bold, architectural artistry.  Long before the brand became synonymous with its Oyster tool watches, Rolex crafted highly creative dress models highlighted by these striking, oversized "Grasshopper" or tear-drop lugs that command immediate attention on the wrist.  The stainless steel case is in excellent condition with the highlight being its elongated sculpted horn lugs.   These beautifully curved lugs extending from the case make the watch wear larger than its 34.5mm size.  The professionally restored silver dial is in excellent condition with its applied gold tone Art Deco stylized numerals, elegant leaf hands and a balanced subsidiary seconds register at 6 o'clock.  This piece of Rolex history is powered by a manual wind movement.
