Matthew's Notes
The reference 5050 was first launched in 1993 and was Patek Philippe's first perpetual calendar wristwatch with a retrograde date function. The production run of this model was less than 10 years and believed that approximately 550 pieces were made in yellow gold. It was also the first time Patek Philippe fitted both an automatic movement and center seconds with a perpetual calendar. The watch I have here is a yellow gold example in excellent condition with all hallmarks visible. The screw-down exhibition sapphire display back shows the automatic caliber 315/136 movement with the Calatrava emblem on the rotor. The Sigma dial is all original with baton hour markers and pristine in its condition. The watch comes on a black Patek Philippe strap with its original solid gold Patek tang buckle. An Archive will accompany the watch.
