Matthew's Notes

This timepiece is a vintage Omega Genève Chronostop Reference 145.009, a rare monopusher chronograph originally introduced by Omega in 1966. It was explicitly designed for short-interval racing timing under 60 seconds. Operating via a single pusher at 2 o’clock, you press it once to start the bright orange central flyback hand, then press and hold to read the time, and release to snap it back to zero.   Embracing the space-age, motorsport-driven design language of the late 1960s, the Chronostop is one of Omega's most distinctive and character-filled vintage sports models. Rather than utilizing traditional multi-subdial layouts, the Chronostop strips away visual clutter to focus on pure, short-interval timing.  This specific example sports the iconic matte slate gray dial framed by a clean white outer racing minute track and raised silver baton hour indices. It comes mounted on a classic black perforated leather racing/rally strap and Omega deployant clasp that perfectly accentuates its mid-century motorsport heritage.  This watch is as close to NOS as you can get.  The stainless steel case  is unpolished and barely has any markings on the case what so ever.  It comes  with its original red Omega box as well.  ( The hinge on the box is a little wonky).
