Rolex Yellow Gold Ovetone Datejust Ref. 6105

This is  a very special  vintage Rolex. It is an early Rolex Datejust reference 6105 , referred to as an Ovetone. This reference has become quite collectible and one of the most historically important transitional watches Rolex ever built. Produced primarily during the early 1950s, it stands as the final evolution of the early "Bubbleback" era and the direct blueprint for the modern Datejust.  The yellow gold  case is in excellent condition with its integrated fluted bezel. The all original dial has  lovely patina evenly throughout,  applied  yellow gold arrow markers and  yellow Alpha hands. I also very much love the all RED date wheel  which adds a vibrant pop of color to the dial and contrasts beautifully against the rich patina of age.  The watch comes on a new matte chocolate brown crocodile strap with its original solid gold Rolex tang buckle.
