Rolex Stainless Steel Datejust 'Ghost' Dial Ref. 1601

This is a crisp stainless steel Rolex Datejust reference 1601 with a grey 'ghost' dial, circa 1971.  The stainless steel case on this piece is super crisp and sharp .  The fluted white gold bezel is sharp as well and pops against the steel case.  What really stands out on this watch is its original grey 'ghost' dial.   "Ghost" dial Datejusts are one of the most sought-after dial variants of Rolex Datejusts.  The background of the dial is a light grey while the writing is  white. The grey dial with white text has received the nickname "ghost"  as the white text on the dial in certain light blends into the light grey finish.
