Rolex Pink Gold Hooded Dress Watch - Ref. 8148

Here we have a rare and unusual Rolex reference 8148 18kt pink gold dress watch from the 1950's. The square case has large rounded hooded lugs which is an very unusual case design for Rolex. The square dial is all original and has applied pink gold markers and subsidiary seconds at 6 oclock. The watch is powered by a manual wind movement and has the Officially Certified Chronometer designation on the dial. This is a hardly ever seen case design and even more rare in pink gold.
