Rolex Oyster Perpetual Black Dial Ref. 6565

I have a soft spot for 1950's Oyster Perpetuals, especially ones with original black dials.  This watch is a solid 14kt yellow gold Oyster Perpetual Officially Certified Chronometer reference 6565 from 1955.   The all original black dial  has beautiful patina throughout, gold gilt writing and wonderful  applied coffin hour markers.  The watch has all original lume plots on the dial that match the original lume inside the Dauphine hands.  The engine-turn bezel also adds a bit of pop around the gorgeous black dial.   This watch comes on a Rolex 14kt yellow gold Oyster rivet bracelet with no stretch whatsoever.
