Here we have  is an incredibly striking and highly collectible iteration of the classic 36mm Rolex Datejust, Reference 16018, crafted in solid 18k yellow gold.  The crown jewel of this timepiece is its magnificent, factory-original Champagne Houndstooth  Roman Serti Dial.   Rather than a traditional linen texture, this variant displays a repeating, geometric pattern reminiscent of the classic woven textile design. From afar, it mimics alternating square gradients, but closer up it reveals beautifully precise interlocking shapes.  Produced in very limited numbers during the mid 1980s and early 1990s, this dial features a mesmerizing geometric textile motif that plays beautifully with the light.  The dial is meticulously set with factory brilliant-cut diamonds housed in square gold frames, perfectly complemented by applied solid-gold Roman numeral indices.
