Matthew's Notes
The Piaget Protocole watch series was introduced in 1963, becoming a signature design known for its rectangular, cut-corner case and vertical, engine-turned "pinstripe" engraving. While the movement inside (9P) debuted in 1957, the Protocole model itself debuted early in the 1960s, gaining popularity throughout the decade. The caliber 9P is a manual-winding, ultra-thin mechanical movement. The watch we have here is 18kt white gold, in excellent condition and appears to be unpolished. The top of the case has thin pinstripes that flow through the dial. The dial is elegant with no markers , daphine hands and an almost mirror type finish. This lovely watch comes on a Piaget crocodile strap with its original 18kt white gold tang buckle.
