Piaget Altiplano Dual Time Retailed by Asprey - Ref. 612103

This is a highly rare  late 1970s vintage Piaget Altiplano Dual Time Reference  612103 in yellow gold, double-signed and retailed by the legendary London luxury purveyor Asprey.  This avant-garde timepiece utilizes two entirely independent mechanical movements, Piaget's ultra thin 6P1,  housed within a single ultra-thin case. Each timezone operates on its own dedicated sub-dial, adjusted by independent crowns seamlessly positioned on opposite sides of the case at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock.   The dial is a  breathtaking solid gold face featuring a masterfully engraved guilloché texture displaying two asymmetric, contrasting sub-dials—one in a champagne finish and the other in deep black- both decorated with elegant Breguet hour numerals.  The prominent "Asprey" signature printed at the 6 o'clock position signifies that this piece was specially commissioned for Asprey of London, a historic jeweler to royal families. Co-signed dials like this significantly increase a vintage Piaget's rarity and collectibility among enthusiasts.
