It holds a legendary status among enthusiasts as the only digital quartz timepiece Omega ever housed inside the iconic, round Speedmaster Professional asymmetrical case.  This watch represents a fascinating era when high-end Swiss horology met the digital revolution.  The watch is  powered by the legendary Omega Caliber 1620 quartz movement. It was incredibly advanced and thermo-compensated for its time.  The watch includes a split/lap chronograph, 12/24-hour time formats, a calendar displaying the date and day of the week, and a built-in display light.A modified prototype variant of this specific reference, known as the "Alaska IV Project," was developed and tested by NASA for potential use by Space Shuttle pilots
