The watch being offered for sale here is an Omega "Cosmic" Triple Date Moon Phase in 14kt yellow gold with an amazing original black dial. You never see these watches with original black dials. Very rare find! This model is one of Omega's most complicated watches from the 1950s and is considered to be Omega's first calendar wristwatch. The Cosmic features both a triple date calendar and moonphase. The large square case of the Cosmic measures 33x33 millimeters and has beautiful sculptured faceted flame lugs. This Omega, model number 3944 is equipped with Omega's caliber 381 17 jewel copper color manual wind movement. The condition of this piece is excellent - the case even has some of the original patina on it and the dial is absolutely amazing.
