NOS Omega Cosmic Triple Calendar Moonphase

This timepiece is a vintage Omega Cosmic Triple Calendar Moonphase, introduced in 1947 and highly sought after by collectors as one of Omega’s premier mid-century complications.  It is a "triple calendar" watch, displaying the day and month through dual apertures right below the 12 o'clock Omega logo. The date is indicated along the outer track of the dial by a dedicated blue pointer hand. The 6 o'clock position houses a beautiful moonphase indicator integrated with a sub-seconds register. This wonderful watch is powered by the legendary Omega Caliber 381 manual wind movement.  This mechanism is highly revered by collectors, as it marks Omega’s very first in-house triple calendar moonphase wristwatch movement.  The unpolished case of the watch features a robust integrated lug profile. The lugs slope  downward toward the wrist, creating an ergonomic fit.  The edges of the 2606 lugs retain a beautifully soft, organic curve that catches the light elegantly.  I don't often use the term New Old Stock as very very few watches are actually NOS.  But this one, I would use the term NOS.  The case is unpolished and it looks like the watch was never worn.  Exceptional overall condition of the dial and the case.
