Ladies Piaget Polo "Onyx Zebra" Dial - Ref. 761C 701D

This is a rare icon of the 1980's jet-set, a Piaget Polo "Onyx Zebra" reference 761 C 701D in a classic 26mm size.  While the standard solid gold vintage Polo is an absolute legend, this stone-dial variant elevates the design to museum-grade haute joaillerie status. It features alternating horizontal gadroon stripes of highly polished 18K solid yellow gold and hand-cut panels of genuine, deep black onyx. The iconic, hypnotic striped pattern flows completely uninterrupted from the dial, through the integrated case, and straight down the heavy bracelet.  The original Piaget Polo line was the ultimate symbol of 1980s extravagance, championed by cultural elite like Andy Warhol and Elizabeth Taylor. Finding a factory stone-dial version today—especially an Onyx Zebra variant with a completely intact onyx mask—is an exceptional rarity for serious vintage watch collectors. This wonderful watch is powered by a Piaget quartz movement.  The yellow gold integrated case and bracelet are both in excellent unpolished condition.  The onyx in the dial is free of any cracks, blemishes or hairlines.  This watch will fit a 5 3/4 inch wrist.
