Here we have an exceptional and highly coveted iteration of a horological icon: the Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Reference E 855 featuring a rare, 100% original factory black dial. While silver and white variants make up the vast majority of production, original black dials are vastly scarcer and heavily pursued by collectors. Introduced in 1960, the E 855 is celebrated as the world's first automatic alarm watch to incorporate a date complication. The 37mm in diameter stainless steel case looks to be unpolished with normal wear that you would see on a watch of this age. The original black dial with its Dauphine hands is the highlight of this watch; all original and in excellent condition. I also very much like that this watch comes on its original Jaeger LeCoultre bracelet made by Gay Freres. Having a black dial and the rare sought after bracelet brings this Memovox to another level.
