The IWC Reference 521, often called the "Shark Fin" due to its distinctively shaped lugs, is a vintage, oversized dress watch from the late 1950s to 1960s. It features a large 37mm pink gold case, significant for its time, powered by the reliable manual-wind Caliber 89 movement. This is lovely IWC has a nice and crisp case with a stepped design and flared lugs. The silver dial is original with applied alternating markers and tracking on the outer edge. There is consistent patina throughout the dial. The extended lugs on the oversized case give this watch a grand appearance.
