Matthew's Notes

This is a very well preserved Favre-Leuba Bivouac reference 53203 from the 1960's. These watches were used by the alpinists first climbing the north side of the Matterhorn and in 1960's polar expeditions. The stainless steel case is unpolished and still retains its case number of 278 and reference number. The blue enamel is even still present on the mountain top scene on the case back. A caliber 10032 Favre-Leube manual wound movement powers this beauty. The sun burst silver dial is pristine with applied markers. The red hand and triangle on the dial at 12 are still vibrant and add a pop of color. This watch even has its original crown, Favre-Leuba strap and buckle.
