Cartier Vendome White Gold Ref. 78090

This is a rare  Cartier Vendome in 18kt white gold, an icon originally introduced in the 1970's as part of the Louis Cartier Collection.   This watch is the larger size, often referred to as the jumbo or large model ( LM).  I do come across these in yellow gold, but one in white gold is a very special find.  Designed personally by Louis Cartier to emulate the classic rounded case of early watches without visible lugs, the Vendôme is a masterclass in minimalist sophistication. This specific "Paris" dial variant represents the gold standard for vintage Cartier enthusiasts.  The "PARIS" signature at the bottom of the dial, which indicates it was originally sold through Cartier’s flagship Paris boutique is highly desirable to collectors. The white gloss dial featuring black Roman numerals and train track minute scale is in excellent condition with no cracking as is often seen with these dials. This wonderful and rare Cartier  Vendome comes with its 18kt white gold Cartier deployant buckle.
