Cartier Tank Americaine Automatic Red. 8172984

This is a beautiful Cartier American Tank reference 8172984 circa the 1990's.  What is special about this particular model is that it is an automatic watch.  Usually these mid-size American Tanks are manual wind watches.  Being automatic makes this watch quite rare.  The solid 18kt yellow gold case is in excellent condition with all hallmarks and numbering clearly visible.  The iconic Cartier dial with black Roman numbers is pristine with date window at 6 o'clock and  hidden Cartier signature at 10 o'clock.  We have put a brand new black Cartier strap on the watch with its original Cartier 18kt Gold deployant buckle.
