Cartier Stainless Steel Santos Galbee' - Ref. 987901

Introduced in 1987 as an update to the traditional square Santos, the Galbée, which translates to "curved" or "shapely" in French, features a subtly curved case and integrated lugs designed to hug the wrist more comfortably than its flat predecessors.  The stainless steel case and bracelet on this watch is in excellent condition with no stretch at all.  The dial is what is really special about this watch.  It has the rare and hard to find satin-finished silvery background with navy blue Roman numerals dial. These dials were made in very small batches during the late 1980's and 1990's.   I believe this watch is full linked as it will fit a 7 1/4 + inch wrist.
