This is an extremely rare 1940's Cartier Chinese Tank in 18k yellow gold on the original yellow gold Cartier bracelet. The watch is in excellent condition with proper Cartier number and hallmarks. The Chinese Tank is an unusual design and does not come up for sale very often. This watch has important provenance as it was a gift from Francis Cardinal Spellman who was the American Archbishop of the Catholic Church to Charles Silver who was the former President of NYC’s Board of Education.
