Matthew's Notes
This is the very unique Audemars Piguet Starwheel reference 25720BA from the 1990's. In short, a Starwheel watch displays the time using a system of rotating disks that move along a minute scale. This feature is also known as a wandering hours complication. The Starwheel was invented in the 17th Century by Roman clockmakers but fell out of favor in the 20th century. Audemars Piguet reintroduced the Starwheel in 1991. The watch we have here is from 1995 and is made of solid yellow gold. The case measures 36mm in diameter. The dial has 3 transparent rotating discs that move around the dial. The case back is a sapphire crystal to view the automatic caliber 2124 movement. This watch comes with its original AP solid gold tang buckle, box and open guarantee papers.
