Patek Philippe 'Armadillo' circa 1940

This is a lovely tonneau Patek Philippe known as the 'Armadillo' circa 1929. The stepped tonneau case is in excellent condition with patina throughout. The case back has a beautiful fancy engraving dated 1940. The original dial is simply fantastic with the Patek Philippe signature retaining the accent and underline. The applied Arabic numerals have lots of oxidation. This early and unusual Patek comes on a period 18kt yellow gold mesh bracelet with gold sliding clasp.  In all my years of selling watches, this is the first time I have seen this model in person.  An Archive from Patek Philippe will accompany the watch.
