Since the 1940's Rolex has been making a series of round dress watches that do not get much attention but are quite rare and beautiful. These watches typically are 33 to 38 mm in size and come in stainless steel, yellow, or rose gold. I have seen a variety of cases from very simple to fancy with unusual lugs. The dials on these watches are typically simple with stick markers, but there is a variety of them with unusual luminescent Arabic and Roman numerals. These particular dials are extremely rare and command a premium price. The Rolex precision typically has a 17 or 18 jewel manual wind movement, and could come as a chronometer or non-chronometer grade.
I call these Rolex watches the Precision because they typically say Precision on the dials and they have snap back cases. The price range on the Precision runs from $1,500 up to $10,000 depending upon the case form, dial configuration and condition. The Rolex precision is another watch that adds variety for the Rolex collector at a reasonable price.
