Barn Find: Universal Geneve Compax Exotic Model Ref 88510

This barn find is the Universal Genève exotic model reference 885107 which is considered the Paul Newman of this series.

While all the hype is on the Nina Rindt Compax Panda, the blue exotic model is a lot more rare and interesting in my opinion. This watch might have been worn 1 or 2 times and therefore it is in new old stock condition. This compax has military provenance and there is an inscription on the back explaining the story.

We purchased the watch from the son of the original owner which makes this the true barn find. The original owner put it in a closet all these years and kept the original box, papers and hang tag.
