The Rolex Submariner reference 1680 with red writing was made approximately between 1967 and 1973. There are many different versions of the reference 1680 depending upon the production year. The variations primarily exist in the dial, where the early generation had a 200 meter first dial (made until approximately 1970), and the later versions had a 660 feet first dial. The early 200 meter first dials typically turn to a chocolate color and bring a premium price due to their pure beauty and small production run.
This particular Rolex Submariner reference 1680 is one of the later versions from 1973, but the luminescent markers have turned to a tan color which is highly attractive and quite rare. The Rolex Red Submariner is staple for most collectors and is still quite affordable compared to other Rolex sports models. I have seen these watches trade from $6,500 to $20,000 depending upon the version, condition, and the look.
