Here we have a classic IWC dress watch in stainless steel from the 1940's. This watch is 35mm in diameter and a perfect size for a man or woman. The stainless steel case is reminiscent of a Patek Calatrava in shape; nice, simple and clean shaped lines. The matte original dial is lovely with its large Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds register at 6 oclock. This is a manual wind watch run by a caliber 83 movement. The IWC caliber 83 is considered a transitional movement between pocket watches and wristwatches.
