Matthew's Note
In 1928, Hamilton introduced the Piping Rock and produced it through 1935. The Piping Rock model became one of the most popular models for Hamilton. The tonneau shaped case is 14kt white gold and has flexible lugs. The original matte silver dial has a minute track and a subsidiary seconds register at 6 oclock with blue steel 'Alpha' handset. The white Roman numerals for the hour markers on the bezel are formed by black enamel applied directly to the case. This original version Piping Rock is powered by a caliber 979 manual wind movement.
