Matthew's Note
This is an incredible oversized Patek Philippe Calatrava reference 2459 in 18kt yellow gold, circa the 1950's. The oversized case and unusual flared tear drop lugs makes a statement. The case looks to be unpolished with the hallmark between the lug sharp and deep. There is patina on the case as well as on the markers of the dial. The original silver dial is pristine with applied tear shaped markers and Arabic numerals. There is a subsidiary seconds register at 6 oclock and iconic Dauphine hands. This very well preserved Patek Philippe is powered by a Caliber 12-400 manual wind movement. This beauty comes on a black strap with its original solid 18kt yellow gold Patek tang buckle. An Archive has been ordered from Patek Philippe and will accompany the watch.
