Breitling Navitimer AOPA Ref. 806 Rare Early Valjoux 72

This is an example of the very rare and early Breitling Navitimer, Ref. 806, with a beaded bezel and features a Valjoux 72 movement. This Navitimer was the first execution to have 806 engraved on the case back. The dial bears the logo AOPA (Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association) which is rare and desirable detail of this watch. What makes this model so important is that there are a very limited number of these Breitling Navitimer watches with the collectible Valjoux 72 movement. Shortly after, the movement was replaced by the Venus 178 movement which is what you find in most 806 Navitimers. The watch is all original aside from the hands being a little later than the watch. Usually the hands on this model are gold tone not white.
